There was mourning in the police family of Bettiah when the Matiaria police station incharge died of a heart attack. After the incident, there was chaos among other police personnel in the police station premises. The deceased is Sub Inspector Ankit Kumar Das, who was currently posted as SHO of Matiaria police station.

Deceased Ankit Kumar Das was a Sub Inspector of 2018 batch, who after training was posted for the first time as SHO in Matiaria police station of Bettiah police district. It is said that he was walking after having dinner at 10 pm on Saturday night, when suddenly his health deteriorated, after which he was admitted to Ramnagar Primary Health Center for treatment, where the doctor declared him brought dead.
After the death of the Sub Inspector, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire police family. The body of the deceased has been sent to the Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Police officers are busy investigating the entire matter. The family members of the deceased police station chief have been informed. The family members are in bad condition and crying.
